Riva 88' Yacht Folgore Launched

The futuristic-looking Riva 88' Folgore is the first boat launched by the yard this year.

The 26.8-meter yacht was unveiled in La Spezia, Italy, and the Ferretti Group's chief executive, Alberto Galassi, said: "She looks like a vessel just back from a journey into the future: she is a dazzling flash of style, she is strength, she is performance, she is innovation."

He added that the launch of the Riva 88' Folgore represents a renaissance for the Ferretti Group - and she reflects the essence of 'being made in Italy' and of a 'tangible sign of a country' that is starting again

.

The exterior design has been inspired by elements from the automotive world and combines sportiness and luxury.

A balance between the past and present

Her designers have struck a balance between the past and present by combining innovative materials, including carbon along with traditional stylistic elements, including steel decorations and mahogany inlays.

The yacht offers the owner a 'completely reconceived stern concept' with a garage door that swings open so it can be positioned in one of two ways - either parallel to the waterline or immersed to allow the landing and the launch of the tender.

The cockpit is a spacious 22 square meters and features a large sofa and table area, and there is a bar unit with an electrically-opening marble top.

Features a glass hard top on the superstructure

The Riva 88' Folgore also features a glass hard top on the superstructure that can be opened and tilted towards both the bow and stern.

When opened, this enables fresh air to enter when the yacht is either at anchor or during navigation.

The interior features glass, marble, steel, and wood, and there is a VIP cabin in the bow along with two double cabins, each featuring a private bathroom.

The galley has a dedicated entrance to deliver maximum service privacy.

The 88' Folgore is the result of a collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the studio that was founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, the Product Strategy Committee which is headed by engineer Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department.
