Description

Jean Berret founded his design studio in 1978. He was a very important regatta competitor who graduated of the Ecole Boulle and of Decorative Arts. Jean was very involved in the world of IOR racing yachts. He was responsible for many toners such as Jarnac, Œsophage Boogie, Berret de Paulette, etc. In 1979, he designed the First 35 for Beneateau boatyard and, by that time, Jean Berret had become a very famous designer.

Olivier Racoupeau joined Jean Berret's studio in 1983 as an employee. He was also a regatta competitor and trained in aeronautics and space science. His incredible designs won 4 world championship titles, the individual class at the Admiral's Cup with Phoenix, the Class I BOC, and the Transat 6.50 on three occasions. Olivier has designed many series of yachts for Beneateau and other well-known designers.

In Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, they consider that designing a boat is an art. They successfully combine creation and knowledge with audacity and rigour while maintaining a fluid communication with their clients. They are really involved in the project and take care of every detail.

Berret-Racoupeau's Team is completely bilingual (French/English) and is conformed by 9 talented naval architects, engineers and yacht designers. They use the latest technology for planning designs.
