ISA Yachts Releases its New Granturismo Yacht, FILMI

ISA Yachts announced on April 15th that it launched the first motor yacht in its Granturismo range at the end of March. The yacht still has to undergo sea trials before ISA delivers her to the owner in June.

This 43-meter FILMI (pronounced "feel me") yacht builds on an earlier Granturismo concept released at the 2011 Monaco Yacht Show.

This version of the yacht has larger dimensions that offers greater interior space. She has four guest cabins and a master suite. This offers enough room for up to 10 guests. The interior also features a gym, tender garage, and a main saloon with two large skylights.

Interior design was overseen by Sandrine Melot. The concept uses plenty of natural light, Foglizzo leather, and a warm color palette.

FILMI's exterior has several excellent features, including specially designed furniture and decorative panels, large sun pads, a Jacuzzi, and a transparent bar that comes to life with brightly colored lights at night.

FILMI also has technical specs that will impress yacht enthusiasts. A steel and aluminum structure makes her lightweight and buoyant. She has two CAT engines that help her reach a maximum speed of 17 knots and cruising speed of 15 knots. Traveling at cruising speed, FILMI has a 2,800-nm range.

Assuming that the sea trials go well, ISA should deliver its latest Granturismo yacht to the owners by the end of June.

Given the concept's success, hopefully we can look forward to seeing more innovative yachts from ISA.

Delta Announces New Hull Design for Onika Yacht

Delta Design Group has announced a new hull design for its 40-meter Onika yacht. The company says its hull will make Onika more fuel-efficient while also letting her travel through shallow waters. By making the yacht more efficient, she can travel greater distances without forcing owners to spend more money on fuel. That's an excellent benefit for anyone interested in saving money and the environment.

Delta's Chief Naval Architect describes the hull as having "round bilges with a bulbous bow and long easy run." These design aspects should make Onika more efficient without altering the yacht's traditional aesthetic. She has a range of 4,000 nautical miles traveling at 12 knots. She has a maximum speed of 16 knots.

Yacht lovers will find other features just as exciting as the newly designed hull. Onika has a central staircase with carved wood handrails and newel posts decorated with metal. The skylounge uses natural materials that have been enhanced by the craftwork of professional artisans. Every aspect of Onika has been carefully planned by Delta.

Delta Design Group is a leader in composite yachting materials. Located in Seattle, its team of naval architects, craftsmen, and naval engineers builds some of the most beautiful high-performance yachts in North America.
