The highly specialized company, operating all around the world, has committed itself to creating yachts that are not just good, but transcendentally brilliant.

For those who have been following the yachting community for very long, there is no doubt that Benetti’s self-titled “Giga Season” is one of the most exciting times of the year. Skyroam Solis

One of the most common pain points experienced by global travelers—particularly by those who spend much of their time moving between different locations—is having access to reliable internet. If you are someone who is frequently away from an area with a quality Wi-Fi connection, then you have probably noticed the pain you feel when you lose your connection with the outside world.

Fortunately, in response to these issues, Skyroam has worked to develop a new service and vending system designed to increase access to the internet during times of travel. Their revolutionary Solis costs $149.99 and offers users access to an unlimited global Wi-Fi network.

On our most recent trip to Europe, the NAVIS team decided to test the Solis and see if Skyroam’s products could actually live up to their reputation. We conducted tests in Spain, Italy, and Germany and frequently had as many as four people utilizing the Solis at once. To our delight, the product worked flawlessly throughout the entirety of the trip and currently has a full endorsement from the NAVIS Editorial Board.

Feadship often captures attention for the exceptional, luxurious, fully custom yachts in their shipyards at Kaag, but the April 26 launch of Project 815, aka Sherpa, had many doing a double take. The hull is unmistakably that of an explorer, sporting a purposely industrial appearance with an unfaired hull exposing welding and platework. The height of the vessel is what put her on display, requiring Sherpa to be moved outside the shed to accommodate her huge mast, air/exhaust funnels, and cranes. Upon delivery later in the year, she will be the tallest of the Feadship fleet.

Created in a partnership with British Design House RWD and brokerage house Cecil Wright & Partners, Sherpa was built to carry, and carry she will. The enormous technological and engineering effort required to create structures and solutions for this very active yacht benefited immensely from Feadship expertise. The experienced owner, already a Feadship fan, is expected to use Sherpa as a support vessel for the 78.5 meter Hampshire II, built by Feadship in 2012.
