In an April 25, 2018 press release, Wally Yachts announced the launch of the new Nahita 93 high-performance luxury sailing yacht at the Marina di Ravenna Performance Boats facility in Italy. The Nahita 93 takes over where the 2009 Nahita 80 left off for her experienced European yachtsman owner. Emirates newly refurbished Boeing 777-200LR

Displaying two-class ticketing with a 2-2-2 business class cabin configuration, the first of 10 restyled Emirates Boeing 777-200LR aircraft boarded in Ft. Lauderdale on Mar. 6, 2018. Rolling out a posh menu of changes designed to make overseas flights more enjoyable, Emirates chose the FLL to DXB route as the first to experience the new look.

Superyacht news Royal Huisman Aquarius 56m Launched

The spirit of individuality and realizing a dream - this is what Royal Huisman of The Netherlands promises its astute clientele. And they were remarkably successful in delivering Aquarius, a classic ketch 56m/184’ luxury sailing yacht. The Owner’s are an American couple who desired a yacht that was comfortable for cruising with their family and friends. Also included in their brief was a vessel well suited for Bucket regatta racing. While Aquarius looks beautiful while cruising through calm waters, she is fierce when her sails are full and the sun and waves splash upon her sailors’ faces. The naval architecture was by Dykstra Naval Architects and interior design by Mark Whiteley Design.

Superyatch news CRN Latona 50m Launched

Launched in a private ceremony on February 10, 2018, Latona is an elegant, five deck super motor yacht. She is gorgeous and her builder is Italian CRN of the Ferretti Group. Her inspiration is from the historic 1960’s Superconcero yacht. The project was created by CRN’s Engineering and Interiors & Design departments with the famous Zucco International.

Superyacht News Heesen Launched VanTom 50m

Love was in the air on February 14th, 2018, at Hessen Yachts as VanTom was delivered in international waters. She is a spectacular 50m/164’ motor superyacht. Her sea trails were conducted in the rough winter waters of the North Sea in January 2018, with waves up to one meter. Captain David Burge comments that her performance in the trails were extremely successful and that she ran very smooth. He looks forward to her maiden voyage to the Mediterranean Sea and the summer cruising season. The yacht’s designer is Frank Laupman at Omega Architects with the naval architect by Van Oossanen & Associates.

Superyacht News The Mysterious Oceanco S/Y Black Pearl 106.7m

The mysterious Black Pearl sailing yacht launched in September 2016 with sea trails in 2017. She was built by Dutch Oceanco and has a spectacular LOA of 106.7m/350’, making her the largest Dynara Rig in the world and one of the largest superyachts around. Few details have been officially released about this yacht making her cloak of secrecy intriguing and leaving us wanting more. Given a brief statement and a fantastic video full of interviews, this is what we have learned. The yacht was designed by Ken Freivokh & Nuvolari Lenard with Dykstra Naval Architects developing the naval architecture and interior by Nuvolari Lenard & Gerard P.Villate. Twelve guests can be accommodated in six cabins and while we do not have images, we can imagine the accommodations are stunning.

Lürssen 95m project Fiji

Since the 56th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (2015), Lürssen has been working hard on their recently launched project Fiji. The yacht—whose exterior is designed by Harrison Eidsgaard and interior is designed by Studio Laura Sessa—is being built to be 95 meters long, have a 14-meter beam, and is expected to be delivered in 2019.

The famous Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) will be held September 27-30, 2017, at Port Hercules in Monaco. The annual show has been serving the elite super yachting community for 27 years, and 34,000 attendees are expected this year. During the past year, the Monaco Yacht Show has organized facility upgrades and improved logistics of bus and boat shuttles to make guest’s experience more enjoyable. The event is four days long and will showcase 125 superyachts including vessels for sale or charter. About forty of these lavish yachts were just delivered in 2017 and are making their debuts in Monaco. There are over 500 leading companies and many exhibits to browse through. They feature a vast variety of products and services where you can admire the latest trends in the industry for high-tech and luxury items. Tenders and toys can also be found on display. One of the most anticipated yachts produced by Hessen shipyard—YN 17947 Book Ends—was christened this past month, on June 13th and successfully delivered to her American owners. This 47m beauty has an epic summer ahead of her; she plans to cross the Atlantic to sail around the Mediterranean during peak yachting season, and by the end of the summer, make one more trans-Atlantic voyage to Florida in time for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

On March 29, Royal Huisman removed one of its latest projects from the company’s Vollenhove facility. Ngoni, a 58-meter sailing yacht, is being sent to Huisman’s yard in Zandaam, where she will receive her mast and prepare for a launch near the end of April.

Some readers may not recognize the name Ngoni because Huisman has been referring to its project as The Beast. The project name came from Ngoni’s owner, who told Huisman that he wanted the company to “build [me] a beast. This has to be an edgy and innovative weapon; fast and furious.”

Rossinavi recently announced that it launched its latest 50-meter motor yacht, Endeavour II, on a beautiful Saturday in February. The launch took place at Rossinavi’s facility in Pisa.

Endeavour II was built to cover long distances. Traveling at 12 knots, she can cross about 5,000 nautical miles. When traveling at her maximum speed, Endeavour II can reach 16 knots. The yacht has two CGT/Caterpillar propulsion systems and two Rolls Royce US 105 P9 CRP azimuthing pods.
