Vlissingen, the Netherlands — With a great sense of pride, Damen Yachting has officially announced that the highly anticipated Amels 80 superyacht, named NETTO II, has officially departed from Vlissingen. This pivotal departure marks the official start of her maiden voyage, with the vessel setting a course straight for the cruising grounds of the Mediterranean. A maiden voyage is a vessel's first major journey after successful sea trials and final outfitting, serving as the ultimate real-world test of all onboard systems.
Specifically built for an experienced Owner who possessed a very clear vision for active use at sea, NETTO II is poised to make a significant impact on the water. Following this departure, she now officially joins the prestigious Amels Limited Editions fleet.
Shaped by the Owner’s Vision: Design and Pedigree
The exterior architecture of the Amels 80 NETTO II was penned by the globally acclaimed designer Espen Øino, while her highly customized interiors were crafted by the renowned team at Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. This specific vessel beautifully reflects the proven pedigree of the highly successful Amels Limited Editions concept.
Her exterior profile is immediately distinctive and recognizable on the water. The yacht features a striking metallic dolphin blue hull. This unique hull coloration is sharply accented by a platinum bootstripe and is topped with a classic, crisp white superstructure. Throughout the vessel's multiple decks, highly bespoke design details have been meticulously shaped directly around the active lifestyle and the unique personal vision of her Owner.
Kees de Keizer, acting as the Owner’s representative, took the opportunity to highlight the deeply collaborative nature of the entire shipbuilding project. “The collaboration with Damen Yachting has been a pleasure,” de Keizer stated. He further explained that throughout the duration of the build, the owner's team was consistently able to rely on the shipyard’s vast expertise, their operational flexibility, and their unwavering commitment to top-tier quality. “The opportunities for customisation allowed us to realise the yacht the Owner had envisioned,” he concluded.
Designed for an Active Life at Sea: Layout and Amenities
On board, NETTO II offers a meticulously considered arrangement of interior and exterior spaces, engineered to provide a perfect balance of social connection and absolute owner privacy. The superyacht is capable of comfortably accommodating up to 14 guests. These premium accommodations are spread across seven opulent suites. The crown jewel of this spatial layout is a massive, highly private 517-square-metre Owner’s Deck.
In addition to this private owner's enclave, there are six additional, well-appointed guest cabins situated on the Main Deck. Her guest areas are intelligently designed around creating a natural, flowing connection between the inside and outside living environments. The Main Deck Lounge is a prime example of this philosophy, featuring floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows that open up seamlessly to the exterior Aft Deck. Moving upward, the spacious Sun Deck offers guests a generous open-air living environment, which comes completely equipped with an oversized jacuzzi.
The Beach Club and Bespoke Details
Closer to the water level, the highly engineered Beach Club opens directly to the sea on three separate sides. A "Beach Club" is an industry term for a dedicated aft lounge area designed to connect guests intimately with the ocean environment. This specific Beach Club incorporates a dedicated wellness area, featuring a state-of-the-art gym, a hammam, and a sauna.
Directly above this wellness area, a stunning 6.5-metre glass-bottomed pool is located on the Main Deck Aft. This striking architectural feature brings natural light flooding directly into the Beach Club below, creating a beautiful visual connection between the two aft decks.
Among the highly distinctive, Owner-specific details integrated into the build is a speakeasy-style bar. This unique entertaining area was directly inspired by a 1960s casino setting, adding a deeply personal character to the yacht’s sophisticated interior layout. Furthermore, the Amels 80 NETTO II features a large forward tender garage designed for storing a wide array of watercraft and recreational toys. She is also fully equipped with a foredeck touch-and-go helicopter landing area. A "touch-and-go" helipad refers to a structurally reinforced deck space designed for safe helicopter embarkation and disembarkation without long-term stowage facilities.

The yacht's highly efficient hull design, paired with modern propulsion technology, actively supports quiet, highly comfortable operation across extended oceanic voyages.

This significant industry recognition heavily underlined the overarching strength of the Amels 80 platform.
