In a significant move for the Italian shipbuilding industry, ISA Yachts, a prominent brand under the Palumbo Superyachts umbrella, has officially launched its new fleet flagship in Ancona. The M/Y Sea Raider X, a 67-meter masterpiece from the Gran Turismo (GT) line, represents a sophisticated evolution of the shipyard’s iconic sport-infused DNA.
The launch ceremony, held on May 8th, 2026, showcased the vessel’s commanding presence, characterized by a striking black-painted steel hull and a silver aluminum superstructure. This chromatic choice emphasizes the yacht's "morphological contrast," bridging the gap between organic deck flows and rigorous, diamond-shaped geometric elements at the stern and sundeck.
With a layout spanning four decks plus a dedicated bilge deck, Sea Raider X is a testament to the shipyard's commitment to balancing aggressive sportiness with high-end elegance.
Architectural Synergy: Vallicelli and Enrico Gobbi
The aesthetic success of Sea Raider X is the result of a collaboration between top-tier design houses and ISA’s in-house engineering team. The exterior lines, penned by Vallicelli Design Studio, feature a signature "frame" element that connects the wheelhouse hardtop to the aft bulwark. This design cue not only provides a sense of dynamism but also preserves the recognizable styling of the Gran Turismo family.
The interiors, designed by Team for Design – Enrico Gobbi, are crafted to accommodate up to 14 guests across seven well-appointed cabins. The owner’s suite is strategically positioned forward on the main deck to ensure maximum privacy and panoramic views. To service a vessel of this scale, the yacht carries a crew of 13 plus the captain, housed in eight specialized cabins.
Innovating the Main Deck Experience
One of the most notable technical achievements of the Sea Raider X is the complete reimagining of the main deck’s aft area. ISA Yachts has focused on creating a "natural connection" to the water through several key features:
- Panoramic Swimming Pool: A 6.5-meter pool serves as the centerpiece of the aft deck.
- Opening Side Platforms: Two fold-down balconies significantly expand the walkable surface area of the lounge.
- Integrated Circulation: Staircases lead directly from the main deck lounge to the beach club and aft platform.
A Convertible Beach Club and Wellness Hub
The lower deck functionality is equally impressive, centered around a full-beam beach club that serves as a wellness retreat. The area is equipped with a hammam, a bar, and a dedicated gym. However, the true innovation lies in the tender management system.
The main tender, exceeding 7.5 meters in length, is stowed in a garage connected to the beach club and launched via a side hatch. Once the tender is deployed, the entire covered aft area transforms, doubling the total surface area of the beach club for guest use.
The Future of ISA Yachts
The Sea Raider X is more than just a new delivery; it represents the current pinnacle of the Gran Turismo philosophy—a blend of performance, engineering innovation, and Dutch-standard construction quality. As part of the Palumbo Superyachts group, which also includes Columbus and Mondomarine, ISA Yachts continues to push the boundaries of custom megayacht construction.
The shipyard's ambitions remain high, with a 100-meter superyacht currently under construction. Upon completion, that vessel will overtake Sea Raider X as the new flagship of the ISA fleet. For now, Sea Raider X stands as a bold statement of Italian excellence in the 60m+ category.
