Last thursday in Fort Lauderdale at a Gala evening for the International Superyacht Society members, Vertigo won the ISS Award for Best Sailing Superyacht over 40 metres.

The Sunseeker 74 was recently seen at the Fort Laudendale International Boat Show 2012.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the "Yachting Capital of the World" will host the 53rd Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on October 25-29, 2012. Show exhibits range from yacht builders and designers to exotic cars and brokerage yachts. A wide variety of boats and sea vessels will be on display including runabouts, sportfishers, high performance boats, center consoles, cabin cruisers, flats boats, skiffs, express cruisers, sailing yachts, motor yachts, bowriders, catamarans, ski boats, jet boats, trawlers, inflatables, canoes, and extraordinary superyachts.

This Concept Design was presented at the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show exclusively for the Benetti Design Innovation Project.

HELIOS is an 88 meter (288 feet) Superyacht with clean, modern and sleek exterior lines. The aim of the project was to design a yacht that despite of her considerable size still looks as a family yacht. We have avoided massive superstructures giving her six decks and ample exterior spaces with relaxing areas.

A twinning of the exception that lies between the flagship of the Perini Navi fleet : The Maltese Falcon, and the historic Amerigo Vespucci. Together they inaugurated the 52nd edition of the Genoa Boat Show during the opening ceremony that was held last week in the presence of Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Mario Ciaccia. The two largest Italian sailing ships met for the first time as guests of honor at the main national boat show. Both over 80 meters in length - 88 meters Maltese Falcon, 82 meters the Ship Vespucci - are the pride of the Italian sailing tradition both past and present .

Hodgdon Yachts announces the launch and delivery of Hull 413 (413th Hodgdon hull - which is also the 3rd tender hull) of a custom limo tender for a prominent European shipyard client.

This week HODGDON launched another of the 10.5m MPYD designed Limousine tenders, also for a prominent European shipyard project and has three more custom tenders under construction including two designed by Andrew Winch Designs.

The 2012 Monaco Yacht Show opened in spectacular style on Wednesday with the impressive Alloy Yachts built Vertigo being presented with the Prix du Design at the Show.

Tony Hambrook hosted HSH Prince Albert onboard Vertigo, along with invited dignitaries, industry leaders and the team from Alloy Yachts.

This is the sixth award that Vertigo has been selected for this year, a testimony to this yacht's incredible design, workmanship, engineering and technological achievement.

She started life with the official ID Benetti FB253 61m but to her new Owner she is DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, a name that is the personal signature of experienced yacht Owner Mr. John Staluppi, who has always been a fan of the inimitable Bond, James Bond, saga. Her naming ceremony was held at Benetti's Livorno 50m+ facility in the presence of the Owner's, crew and construction team.

As the size of the boat increases, so do the privacy needs of its owner. Large boats have a careful separation between the spaces and even the passageways used by crew and guests. With a hull of 18 metres, this is a feat that only very few can achieve. In designing the Azimut 60 project, this was viewed as a distinct need, and it found expression in the spacious layout of the crew cabin, with two beds and a separate entrance from the stern platform. The positioning of the beds can be changed if the Seakeeper anti-roll system is installed, which allows two separate beds to be converted into twin beds.
