The third annual Singapore Yacht Show started on Thursday 18th until Sunday the 21st at the One 15 Marina Club – Sentosa Cove. This year the event had doubled the number of first-class shipyards exhibiting their vessels.

Amsterdam – Feadship has announced the formation of the Feadship Heritage Fleet, an association for the owners of Feadships that are more than thirty years old. The inaugural meeting of the association took place on 16 April 2013 in the historic De Roode Leeuw restaurant in Amsterdam, which was also the location of the very first Feadship meeting in late 1949.

Lorenzo Benetti established this famous shipyard, one of the oldest in the world, in 1873. He started out building wooden boats that were used for local and international trade. Gino and Emilio Benetti took over the boatyard after the death of their father, Lorenzo. They changed the name of the company to Fratelli Benetti and developed a reputation that extended beyond the Mediterranean.

Plymouth based boat builder, Princess Yachts have shown their support of St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth, a local hospice, in many ways over the years but in sponsoring their Midnight Walk this year the charity are simply tickled pink!

Princess decided to mark the start of the Midnight Walk’s promotional activity by displaying a Princess V39 in Plymouth city centre finished in the charity’s event colours – bright pink! The special edition model will be used as the centre piece for St Luke’s awareness drive for the walk when she is displayed in City Centre Plaza Plymouth on Saturday 23rd March.

Last week, on March 14th, saw in the morning the launch at Viareggio of the second Benetti Crystal 140' BY002, Luna. An event held on the grounds of the Azimut-Benetti Group's Lusben shipyard, located adjacent to the Benetti headquarter. Following the usual preliminary steps, including the traditional breaking of the bottle on the hull, the yacht was lowered into the water, a ceremony attended by Owner, technical personnel, workers, and all Benetti Management and Staff involved in building this magnificent vessel that stands out for its modern and innovative design.

The Ferretti Group iconic brand, Riva, launches the 122' Mythos, it's latest flagship. Riva 122' Mythos is the largest aluminum planning luxury yacht produced by the shipyard and it transfers perfectly the flair and the clean, elegant lines of all Riva models belonging to a new line made entirely in light aluminum alloy.

Feadship has welcomed home the 71.60-metre Feadship Utopia for a range of maintenance activities and technical upgrades. Originally launched in 2004, this is the second time Utopia has returned to Feadship for a refit, the first being a successful project in 2007 to personalise the yacht to her then new owner's requirements. "The main reason to come to Feadship for a refit is to retain the essence of how the boat was built and ensure she remains of the highest pedigree possible in the world today," says Utopia's captain, Kevin Paul Collins.

The Feadship fleet welcomed the 57.60 m custom mega yacht Larisa. This luxury yacht was built for an owner with experience with the aim to upgrade to the world's leading luxury yacht brand. The Larisa's interior was left in the hands of Bannenberg & Rowell Design.
