Sea Owl begins an extensive sea trial

Feadship, based in the Netherlands and recognized as the world leader in the field of custom superyacths, has presented the 62-metre FeadshipSea Owl. This superyacht has left the yard for sea trials and the official launching is scheduled for July, but some details have been revealed: her service launch offers the first daylight glimpse of Sea Owl's signature jade mist green and oyster white color scheme. She has gorgeous lines designed by the well-known English yacht designer, Andrew Winch.

Sea Owl contains an extraordinarily detailed selection of hand carved pieces, sculptures, petrified wood items and marbles. Anthony Sands (Edge Yachts) represents the owners – who are exceptionally private – and confesses: "Sea Owl is a true work of art. It gives me tremendous personal satisfaction to see such a large, talented and diverse group of people working together to make sure our client's expectations were met, and then exceeded."

The experienced owners are very family-oriented and this is reflected in the facilities on board for the younger generation, which range from a magical array of toys and games to a thematic decorative scheme. There are two dedicated children's cabins as well as the owners' stateroom and three guest suites. Sea Owl has a combination of a jade-mist-green hull and an oyster-white superstructure that makes it fine looking and unique.

Sea Owl has a particularly sophisticated security system that both yard and owner's teams regard as possibly the most elaborate ever built into a superyacht. Captain John Watson describes the build at Feadship as "an enlightening and extraordinarily professional experience. There is a wonderful family atmosphere and it's been fabulous to work in a yard with craftsmen who have applied their skills to Feadship for decades."
