Lamborghini Huracan - Review, Gallery and Video

Automobili Lamborghini has never been the kind of automobile manufacture that targets everyday commuters. Building superior, high-performance cars lets the company produce fewer models while focusing on technological innovation. Lamborghini's new flagship model, Huracan, builds on that tradition. Performance enthusiasts around the world will want to experience the thrill of driving one of these beautiful feats of engineering.

Huracan Replaces the Gallardo

Lamborghini takes every decision seriously. That's one reason the manufacturer rarely disappoints its fans. Drivers who can afford luxury vehicles, therefore, will want to pay special attention to the Huracan since Lamborghini has decided to focus on it as its newest flagship model.

Replacing the Gallardo, Lamborghini's best-selling car to date, presents a difficult challenge. But it's a challenge that Lamborghini has undertaken with gusto. The last Gallardo was produced in 2013. Now, the company can focus on building Huracan models that will change the high-performance industry forever.

The Huracan Design

When designing the aesthetics of Huracan, Lamborghini stripped away aspects of Gallardo so engineers could start from scratch. Lamborghini wanted to build a vehicle that put the driver right up front, so it angled the silhouette to merge with the cockpit while creating a streamlined body that cuts through wind.
Lamborghini also wanted to make a distinctive high-performance car that onlookers would recognize immediately. They accomplished this by using extremely sharp edges that give it an aggressive appearance. The lateral windows give the impression that Huracan has glass jewels built into it. This is a loud, proud vehicle that demands attention.

For the first time, Lamborghini decided to integrate LED technology throughout its vehicle. The Huracan has LED headlamps, of course. What's impressive is that it has made LED lights a standard feature. Whether the driver needs illumination to see the road or change the stereo, LED lights makes actions easier.

The Lamborghini Huracan

It's impossible to discuss a new Lamborghini without taking a close look under the hood. Huracan has a 5.2-liter V10 engine that generates 448 kW (610 horsepower) at 8,250 rpm. The torque is potentially even more impressive with a maximum 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Tests show that Huracan can reach a top speed of 325 km per hour (201 mph). It can launch itself from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds. Given 9.9 seconds, Huracan can reach 200 km/h (124 mph).

Despite this incredible power, Huracan is more fuel-efficient than its predecessor, Gallardo. Huracan combines direct and indirect fuel infection that uses every drop of gasoline as efficiently as possible. It even produces fewer emissions that comply with EU6 regulations.

Huracan: A Driving Experience

Huracan offers a radically new driving experience. She has a new dual-clutch transmission dubbed the Lamborghini Doppia Frizione (LDF) and a four-wheel drive system that's completely electronic. Drivers can change modes via a selector switch conveniently located in the steering wheel. The system offers three options: STRADA, CORSA, and SPORT.

Choosing from these system settings makes it simple for drivers to optimize the vehicle for a variety of conditions. Whether you're cruising winding roads in the countryside or preparing for a race, Huracan's driving dynamics can match the environment for optimal performance.

Every release from Lamborghini offers exciting features. With Huracan, the car company has outdone itself. No one wanted to see Gallardo's reign come to an end, but Huracan's aesthetics and performance specs make it a welcome successor.
