A Celebration of Craft, Innovation, and the Pursuit of Zero-Emission Yachting Monaco Yacht Show 2025

Each September, Monaco transforms into the epicenter of the yachting world, where heritage, glamour, and innovation converge against the dazzling backdrop of Port Hercule. The Monaco Yacht Show has long been the stage where the finest expressions of design and engineering meet the art of luxury living, and the 2025 edition was no exception.

From the moment we stepped into the Principality, the scale of the event was unmistakable: an unrivaled collection of motor and sailing yachts, shipyards unveiling their latest visions, and brands from across the luxury spectrum presenting creations that push boundaries. This year carried both the grandeur one expects from Monaco and a sense of discovery, with extraordinary premieres like Feadship’s M/Y Valor commanding attention in the motor yacht sector, while the striking Wallywind 110 set a new benchmark for sailing yacht design.

Innovation was not limited to the yachts themselves. The Yacht Club of Monaco continued to shape the industry’s future through pioneering work in sustainability, showcasing initiatives that redefine what advanced marinas can be. Meanwhile, bold concepts such as ULYSIA’s vision between private superyachts and boutique cruising hinted at new directions for luxury at sea. Celebrations like Lürssen’s 150th anniversary reminded us of the shipyards whose legacies anchor this world, while the Italian Sea Group turned heads with the exhilarating Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101.

As always, NAVIS was there to capture and share the essence of this extraordinary gathering with our global community, bringing the spirit of Monaco, and the best of human achievement in yachting, to those who live and breathe this world.

Lürssen 150 Years of Innovation and Legacy

Lürssen marked 150 years with characteristic quiet confidence, reminding Monaco why its name is synonymous with quality and performance. From Friedrich Lürssen’s first motorboat in 1886 to the forthcoming 114.2-meters COSMOS with a methanol-powered fuel cell research installation, her story is one of relentless adaptation. Today, a 2,000-strong team across northern Germany, an engineering office in Croatia, and a U.S. sales office in Fort Lauderdale sustain that pioneering spirit.

The anniversary came with tangible signals of momentum: a refined visual identity by LoveFrom, a limited-edition Fine Art Book by Jarmo Pohjaniemi (36 yachts captured over ten months), and expanded capacity at Rendsburg with two additional docks. The Lürssen Foundation also took a bow, funding next-generation engineers through a six-month scholarship program focused on clean energy and supporting impactful startups.

On the water, delivery headlines spoke for themselves. The 138-meters DEEP BLUE, the largest new delivery of 2025, and 78-meters ACE21 by RWD are both in the final stages of outfitting after strong sea trials. COSMOS, launched in August with ambitions to generate hydrogen from methanol for up to 15 days at anchor and 1,000 miles at slow speeds, is slated for delivery in spring 2026. A heritage of craftsmanship, pointed squarely at tomorrow.
Feadship and the Future of Yachting

M/Y Valor was the star of Port Hercule. At almost 80 meterss, she is a true explorer with Bureau Veritas Young Ice 2 notation, a two-meters ice belt, and the range to chase high-latitude dreams. Her Hybrid Diesel-Electric, solar and battery architecture sits on a DC grid powered by four ultra-efficient variable-speed generators feeding a 5.34 MWh water-cooled lithium-ion bank. Augmented by a mast-mounted solar array and trialling HVO biofuel, she can operate for up to 48 hours in silent, zero-emission mode. Twin Schottel EcoPeller azimuthing thrusters and a symmetrical-thrust Rim-Drive bow thruster provide precise handling, while Quantum XT fins and MAGlift stabilizers deliver serene motion.

A dreadnought bow and purposeful, frigate-like profile by Studio De Voogt’s Chris Bottoms answer the owner’s brief for something “recognisable from outer space.”

Bannenberg & Rowell’s interiors are a tactile celebration of wood, stone, metal, and glass, anchored by a sculptural staircase of 48,001 parts. Walk-around upper decks, widened bulwarks, a vast contra-flow infinity pool measuring 8.35 x 2.55 meterss, and thoughtful touches like a grass-filled relief station for her owner’s three Golden Retrievers blend expedition intent with playful luxury. An elevator connects all six decks, from the beach club and massage room to the sun-kissed Jacuzzi forward. Valor sets a new benchmark in large-yacht emissions reduction without compromising grace or grandeur.

Feadship also underscored her long-view approach by joining the Nuclear Energy Maritime Organization (NEMO) to help shape future regulation for floating nuclear power, and by advancing her Resale platform with the successful sale of 49.5-meters Project 717, following notable transactions including ONE and Savannah.

The Italian Sea Group, Style & Power

At Yacht Club de Monaco, The Italian Sea Group set a stylish tone on the eve of the show. Admiral by Giorgio Armani introduced M/Y Metamorphosys, a 72-meters collaboration where Armani’s design language infuses luminous, natural-stone interiors, decorative glass “curtains,” and serene, champagne-toned spaces. The Owner’s Deck functions as a private retreat with cinema-ready salon, walk-in dressing, and a forward firepit nook for sunset ritual.

Tecnomar for Lamborghini unveiled the 101FT project: approximately 30 meterss with three MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines for a projected 45-knot top speed and 35-knot cruise. She carries unmistakable Lamborghini DNA in her lines and hexagonal motifs, with delivery targeted for the end of 2027.

Ferretti Group, Strength in Diversity

In Monaco, Ferretti Group staged a six-yacht fleet led by the world premiere of Riva 112’ Dolcevita Super, a study in amplified outdoor living that channels owners’ desire to be closer to the water. Custom Line Navetta 38, Custom Line 140’, Pershing GTX116, wallywind110, and wallywhy200 rounded out a portfolio that spans temperament and tempo with rare coherence.

At a private dinner for select media at MARCO MARETERRA, the Group highlighted robust growth, with net revenues from new yachts up nearly 40% from 2021 to 2024 and 47 units over 30 meterss under construction or recently launched. Riva’s trajectory continues with the 70 Metri announced, the first 54 Metri launched, and the semi-displacement 42 metri Caravelle planned for 2027. CRN delivered bespoke Amor à Vida in May and has three full-customs in build at 86m, 70m, and 67m.

Custom Line unveiled the Saetta family and presented Saetta 128’, scheduled for launch in 2026, while Navetta 35 remains a cornerstone.

Wally’s world premiere of wallywind 110 distilled the brand’s performance ethos into a 33.42-meters all-carbon platform by judel/vrolijk & co. Twin rudders, advanced keel options, flush decks, and a low-profile coachroof promise pace; high bulwarks, vast guest cockpit (circa 80 sqm), and modular deck furniture deliver bluewater ease. A flexible, light-washed interior completes the hybrid brief: race-bred elegance with real-world cruising comfort.

Royal Huisman, AERA and the Hybrid Future

Royal Huisman’s AERA concept imagines a 50-meters hybrid yacht that blends motoryacht comfort with advanced sail and energy systems. A 245 m² Rondal wing sail rotates 360 degrees for optimal trim, paired with retractable propulsion to cut drag. Compressed hydrogen storage, fuel cells, and a 580 kWh battery bank target near-zero emissions with up to 72 hours of silent operation, supported by HVO biodiesel for deep cuts in CO₂ and particulates.

Cor D. Rover’s design maximizes outdoor living with roughly super-motoryacht-scale deck areas, a lattice superstructure to reduce heat load, and an owner’s suite with private terrace. Developed with Rondal and Artemis Technologies, AERA reads as an elegant, usable platform that makes automated, wind-assisted cruising intuitive.

ULYSSIA, A New Vision of Residential Yachting

ULYSSIA presented a bold idea during an exclusive presentation in Monaco: a 320-meters residential yacht with 122 private residences and 22 guest suites, designed by Espen Øino and built by MEYER YACHTS. She proposes a life at sea that blends five-star amenities, exploration, and philanthropy, with a marina and yacht club, multiple restaurants, a Chenot spa, medical center with MRI, theatre, art studio, youth programs, and serious expedition kit including two helicopters and Triton submersibles.
Safety and sustainability sit at her core. Hybrid propulsion with methanol and biofuels, advanced hull forms, and energy recovery systems aim to deliver the most sustainable yacht of her class at delivery. A leadership team from top hospitality and maritime backgrounds suggests the concept is as much about culture and curation as it is about steel and tonnage.

Rossinavi Bel1 (14)

Rossinavi Bel1

Rossinavi closed her Monaco showcase with the official unveiling of M/Y Bel1, a 50-meters full-custom aluminum yacht by Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design with interiors from Enrico Gobbi’s Team for Design. Entirely built in aluminum, Bel1 demonstrates Rossinavi’s mastery of the material, offering up to 10% more living space, a draft reduced by 8%, and fuel consumption cut in half compared to a steel equivalent.

Drawing inspiration from luxury SUVs, she blends strength with refinement. Expansive spaces include a panoramic main deck lounge with opening balconies, an enclosed beach club with fold-out terraces, a private mezzanine deck, and a 145-square-meters sundeck equipped with pool, bar, grill station, and retractable TV. Four stabilisers ensure comfort, while a 4,000-nautical-mile range at 10 knots makes her a true long-range cruiser.

Bel1’s unveiling was enhanced by a full LED Experience Room at the Rossinavi stand, offering an immersive dive into the shipyard’s world, and a series of live Wushu performances by European Champion and World Silver Medalist Jasmine Zhu Chuyi, staged on the yacht’s beach club. The performances, symbolic of balance and precision, echoed the philosophy behind Bel1’s design. With her contemporary interiors and bold exterior, Bel1 embodies Rossinavi’s vision of dynamic elegance and sustainable performance.

Craftsmanship and Distinction

Baglietto showcased strong market resonance with DOM133 by Stefano Vafiadis and T52 by Francesco Paszkowski: 12 DOM133s and 9 T52s sold to date. Seven yachts launched this year, with seven deliveries slated, underline the yard’s organizational muscle and devotion to customization across the range. “Innovation, elegance, and Italian excellence” reads less like a slogan than a steady cadence.

Nautor Swan used the Yacht Club stage to preview the Swan Alloy 44 by Malcolm McKeon, the brand’s first aluminum supermaxi, and globally premiered Swan 128 by Germán Frers, a sporting cruiser marrying performance DNA with contemporary volume. A roadmap of additional alloy models beyond 50 meterss and a Bluewater SwanScape line widens the pathway into the Swan universe, supported by a strategic alliance with Edmiston and a renewed push in the U.S.

ISA Yachts introduced the muscular GT 66 by Enrico Gobbi, a grand coupé of the sea with long teak foredeck lounges, panoramic glazing, an integrated sky lounge with forward Jacuzzi, an aft infinity pool, and a wellness beach club that opens directly to the water. Her metallic blue-grey livery and sculpted stainless bow details speak fluently in the language of speed and sculpture.

AB Yachts sustained its reputation for performance. The new AB 95 reaches 50 knots on 6,000 hp while remaining eerily quiet and composed; the second AB 110 unit pushes to 43 knots on triple waterjets with a carbon panoramic flybridge and high-tech helm. The sale of an AB 130, fresh from acclaim at the World Yacht Trophies, capped a statement presence at Appontement Jules Soccal.

Winch Design x Frers Design unveiled Flowform, a 35-meters sailing concept where a transparent deckhouse floods sculpted interiors with light. Conceived to be equally at ease on family passages or at the front of a regatta fleet, she marries silence, energy regeneration, and performance with Winch’s organic interior language of curves, timbers, and shimmering metallic accents.

Among giants, J Craft’s 42-foot Torpedo felt perfectly in her element. Hand-built in Sweden, she is refined and fearless, with a seaworthy hull and joystick-enabled Volvo Penta IPS pods that make single-handing effortless. Whether fitted with IPS 400, 500, 600-R or 650-RS, she glides without vibration, turning breakfast in Monaco and a late lunch in Porto Cervo into a single, elegant line on the chart. An objet d’art with the heart of a true seafarer.

This year balanced grandeur with genuine discovery. M/Y Valor set the technical and emotional benchmark, while Lürssen’s century-and-a-half milestone, TISG’s high-style premieres, ULYSSIA’s new residential horizon, and forward visions like AERA and Flowform showed how many directions true innovation can take.

Lifestyle, Atmosphere, and the Future of Yachting

The Monaco Yacht Show is a stage for the full ecosystem of luxury. The 2025 edition elevated this dimension, curating experiences that moved far beyond steel and teak.

Visitors were immersed in thematic exhibition areas, each revealing a different face of yachting culture. The Parvis Piscine and Upper Deck Lounge showcased the artistry of interior design, with bespoke furnishings and handcrafted details that spoke of refinement. Quai Albert Ier and Darse Sud highlighted cutting-edge technologies, while the Adventure Area brought together tenders, water toys, and luxury vehicles, 23 of them gleaming against the Mediterranean light, a playground for thrill-seekers and connoisseurs alike.

Central to the show’s forward-looking character was the launch of Blue Wake™, a pioneering program developed with the Water Revolution Foundation. This curated initiative spotlighted 59 exhibitors dedicated to sustainable yachting, from hydrogen propulsion and low-carbon fuels to recyclable materials and circular construction practices. The inaugural Blue Wake Awards honored achievements across the spectrum: TYKUN for hydrogen propulsion, Tai Ping for biodegradable carpets, Deasyl for low-carbon fuel, Sanlorenzo for her fuel-cell-powered yacht, and SilverYachts for a recyclable aluminum catamaran. Together, they embodied the industry’s collective pursuit of a cleaner horizon.

Equally influential was the Monaco Yacht Summit, a forum where owners, designers, and shipyards gathered to address the future: innovation, environmental transition, and the evolving economics of ownership. The dialogue was as pragmatic as it was visionary, reflecting a sector determined to balance dream-making with responsibility.

Yet beyond the numbers, launches, and forums, what sets Monaco apart is atmosphere. Each day began in Monte-Carlo with quiet elegance: breakfast at Café de Paris, or, for those in the know, beneath the stained glass of the Eiffel Mezzanine at Hôtel Hermitage, where light filters through Belle Époque windows onto intimate tables.

From there, the rhythm shifted to the docks of Port Hercule, alive with conversations about bespoke projects and new commissions, punctuated by champagne and caviar on sun-warmed aft decks.

As twilight fell, the scene transformed again. Cocktails on sundecks flowed into dinners where conversations about the future of yachting deepened. Among the most memorable evenings were the NAVIS gatherings, hosted with understated exclusivity at two of Monaco’s most celebrated culinary temples. On October 25th, the NAVIS

Owners Dinner was held at Blue Bay Marcel Ravin, where the two-Michelin-starred chef blends Caribbean heritage with Mediterranean terroir in an immersive setting inspired by nature’s five elements. Two nights later, the NAVIS Annual Dinner unfolded at Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse at Hôtel de Paris, where Emmanuel Pilon’s contemporary haute cuisine and the theatre of its chandelier-lit dining room created an atmosphere equal parts artistry and reverence. These occasions reflected Monaco’s unique ability to merge gastronomy, culture, and yachting into experiences as refined as they are unrepeatable.

The nights rarely ended early. Bars and lounges across the Principality pulsed with energy, from convivial gatherings at Buddha Bar to private celebrations that carried late into the morning. And yet, by sunrise, the cycle renewed: the community gathering once more, whether rested or not, ready to step back onto the docks, into meetings, or aboard yachts that might become tomorrow’s commissions.

As the 2025 edition came to a close, one theme was undeniable: the pursuit of innovation is inseparable from the pursuit of sustainability. From Feadship’s hybrid explorer Valor to Lürssen’s methanol-fuel-cell COSMOS, from Royal Huisman’s hydrogen-assisted AERA to the initiatives honored by Blue Wake, the industry is accelerating toward its long-term goal of zero emissions. Monaco once again proved to be not only the showcase of today’s superyachts but also the compass guiding the sector’s evolution. For NAVIS, the privilege is to bear witness and share this journey, a journey where the world’s finest achievements at sea continue to reflect both timeless elegance and a future shaped by responsibility.

IYC at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025

Among the companies that defined the rhythm of Port Hercule, IYC stood out with a presence as dynamic as it was refined. With more than eighty team members on the ground, the brokerage created an atmosphere of vitality across the quays, from its elegant stand at Appontement Jules Soccal to The Lounge by IYC beside Monaco’s famous pool. Accessible by invitation only, this refined enclave quickly became one of the show’s most sought-after meeting points—a sanctuary where owners, partners, and friends of the brand connected amid artful hospitality and understated glamour.

The IYC fleet reflected the full spectrum of contemporary yachting, from the 59-metre IDYLLIC and 56-metre AELIA to the 44-metre BLISS and the distinctive Moonen COCOON. At anchor, vessels such as ATOMIC, BELLA, and ALL ABOUT U extended IYC’s footprint beyond the docks, showcasing the brand’s global reach. Evenings at the Lounge added another layer of allure: the Graff x Jet Aviation soirée on board IDYLLIC, a lively cocktail hosted with Privat3 Money on BLISS, and the renowned Captains’ Soirée all contributed to an atmosphere that blended business with celebration. The result was an unmistakable sense of community—proof that IYC’s strength lies as much in its relationships as in its remarkable fleet.
