Baglietto 52m Daybreak

The World Premiere of Baglietto’s 52-Meter Daybreak

Baglietto, celebrating Italian-built boats for over 170 years, is focused on a concept they call “blueness.” Think of it as that sparkle in the eye as someone realizes a dream. In this case, that would be the owner of Baglietto’s 52-meter motor yacht, Daybreak.

Making an impressive worldwide debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show this year, Daybreak entertained a steady stream of attendees, press, and industry professionals, displaying a long list of accoutrements proving her worth.

The fourth hull in Baglietto’s T52 line, Daybreak was sold in 2021 and delivered in October of 2024. Setting herself apart from her previous sister ships, Ark of Fate delivered in 2023, Infinity delivered in 2024, and Akula, with her global debut at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show, Daybreak is defined by distinctive details.

Of note is that the T52 series proved so attractive to buyers that nine hulls were sold before completion of the first hull, according to Baglietto CCO Fabio Ermetto, who was kind enough to walk through the yacht with NAVIS at the Palm Beach show. Ten yachts in the series were sold in just three years. Exploring why this model is such a marvel, here are some of the most interesting details.

Daybreak By The Numbers

Reflecting the founder’s extensive global experience, the exteriors by Florence-based Francesco Paszkowski Design showcase an enthusiasm for new aesthetics and functional trends, all while honoring the owner’s unique vision. Paszkowski has maintained a long and successful relationship with Baglietto, collaborating on their builds with continued success. Baglietto’s in-house team handled the naval architecture.

Interiors were createdby Stefano Vafiadis, giving Daybreak both youthful innovation and experienced attention to performance and efficiency. Stefano Vafiadis provided important details for NAVIS as we toured the yacht at the Palm Beach International Boat Show. Employing top-of-industry techniques, materials, and concepts, Stefano noted the effort to echo the feeling of the exterior, ensuring creative solutions to client requests that complement every element.

Daybreak’s 52-meter, high tensile steel hull requires a 2.7-meter draft. The hull is topped by an aluminum superstructure with a 497 GT internal volume. A generous 9.5-meter beam supports accommodations for 12 guests in six cabins, with space for 9 crew.

Her two Caterpillar C32 engines deliver a maximum speed of 16 knots, boasting a cruising range of 4,500 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Innovations and Distinctive Features

One of the things that draws new owners to the T52 line is the openness of the interiors and the massive deck space for a yacht under 500 GT. With a softened approach to art deco styling, expansive windows and high ceilings expand the interiors beyond measurement. Fabio comments that the view through those windows is better than any painting. Unfussy furnishings with long, lean lines emphasize room to roam. Lots of storage keeps essentials out of visual lines, further emphasizing the importance of views drinking in the infinite shades of sea and sky over the containment of things.

Exquisite details invite sumptuous, indulgent gazes. Braided leather cabinetry, beautifully curved and reeded glass panels, double-walled shower glass with alternating frosted stripes, bold upholstery combinations of suede accented with leather, and teak, tanganika, ziricote, and macassar woods, with touches of black wood and backlit onyx just touch on the subtle but ultra-luxurious features.

Machia Vecchia marble dresses baths in white with intricate grey, taupe, and gold veins, tracing the room perimeters with black inlays. Saffiano leather, so soft to the touch, makes a quiet but elegant statement. Loro Piana fabrics, Ralph Lauren and Baccarat pieces, and plush white carpeting in strategic areas work to underscore stylish creature comforts.

A three-level beach club embraced by an open stern breathes fresh joy into the 24-meter space. The pool overlooking the beach club features a drop-down marble floor when filled, rising up to align smoothly with the deck to create a flat space when entertaining.

The luxurious main salon of the motor yacht Daybreak, showcasing the art deco-inspired interior with backlit onyx panels, reeded glass, and expansive windows that create an open, airy atmosphere.

The Main Deck

Fully aft on the main deck is that versatile, glorious pool. Just forward, a large lounge space replete with posh low sofas to port and starboard in creamy white feels effortless against the teak decking and low center table. Entering the salon through automatic glass doors reveals the first glimpse of reeded glass and backlit onyx wall panels.

Teak flooring, interspersed with Calacatta marble, anchors the crisply tailored leather sofas to port and starboard, softened by coordinating panels of suede and loose pillows executed in subtle abstract patterns and textures in navy and grey hues. The sofas offer a baseline for the expansive views through the large windows. Low tables to both port and starboard use ingenious tops that reverse, offering either clean, crisp marble or cushioned upholstery, depending on what’s needed. Blackout curtains can be drawn if guests would like to view the drop-down flat screen.

Further forward is a rectangular dining table for 10, nicely curved corners and edges rimmed with chrome. On the forward wall of the dining area of the salon, backlit onyx creates mood lighting for evening dining.

A hall to starboard leads to a stair to port, a day head to starboard, and on to the full beam master cabin. Black lacquer furniture with pale stripes and chrome inlays pays homage to art deco through curved corners and high gloss finishes. A white day bed with black back headrest greets guests to starboard. Large windows to port and starboard keep guests in tune with the sea. Underfoot, plush white carpeting surrounds the bed, while traditional teak flooring covers the expanse.

The master bath is lush with Macchiavecchia marble, including the clear, glass-enclosed oversized shower with bench, and the vanity with two rectangular sinks sporting perimeter drains and clean chrome fixtures. Dual toilets are closed with the double-layer glass and alternating frosted vertical stripes to provide privacy. Black onyx inlays in the marble flooring outline the path through the space. A large walk-in closet accommodates full, dress-length storage.

Additional storage cabinets ensure there is a place for everything. There is even a leather-wrapped espresso machine in the master suite, ready to serve up a double shot upon command.
