Feadship Royal Dutch Shipyards has built several yachts that use glass in innovative ways. Glass structures in yachts like Venus and Hampshire II, however, only hinted at what the shipyard could do. The company's latest construction, Como, a 46.22-meter motor yacht, pushes those glass design concepts much further to create a master piece of aesthetics and engineering.

Working with Farr Yacht Design and Nauta Design, Southern Wind Shipyard built Farfalla for long-range expeditions. Farfalla is the third yacht in Southern Wind's SW102 series. While she has a similar appearance to her sister yachts, Almagores II and Hevea, Farfalla also has several features that make her a unique boat capable of long, comfortable cruises around the world.

Reviving The Pendennis Cup 2014

Since 2008, every two years, renowned Pendennis Shipyard hosts one of the most exciting superyacht events of the year: The Pendennis Cup. At the end of May 2014, in Falmouth Bay, UK, the 4th edition of this regatta was held with 11 yachts with a combined length of over 320m competing , divided in two main categories: the Pendennis Cup fleet and the second "Little Dennis Fleet", composed of yachts of less than 15 meters. Racing was managed once again by the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club and race officer Peter Craig. All eleven participated in four days of racing defying adversity while still maintaining class and elegance.
