Atomic Redster Q and Cloud Q
A perfectly groomed piste rarely remains perfect for long. Firm corduroy can become tracked, bumped and increasingly soft as the temperature rises and skier traffic builds. For winter 2026/27, Atomic has redesigned its Redster Q and Cloud Q collections around precisely this progression, combining race-derived construction with wider, more adaptable piste geometries.
At the top of the range, the Redster Q9.8 Revoshock S is designed for advanced and expert skiers seeking one ski for changing groomed conditions. Its 85 mm waist, the widest in the Redster Q line, provides a more substantial platform when freshly groomed snow deteriorates into late-afternoon chop.
Atomic’s updated Revoshock S system uses a series of integrated stainless-steel inserts to absorb disruptive impacts before they reach the skier’s feet. The result should be a smoother, more composed ski at speed. A Power Woodcore and TI Powered Titanal laminate supply torsional rigidity and edge grip, while Ultra Wall construction combines full-sidewall power with the durability associated with cap construction.
Carbon Boost, a stiff carbon insert positioned beneath the heel, adds reinforcement where the ski exits the turn, improving rebound and acceleration. Multi Radius Sidecut allows the Q9.8 to transition between longer, GS-style arcs and shorter turns without restricting the skier to a single rhythm. It is offered in 159, 166, 173 and 181 cm lengths and weighs 3,344 g per ski at 173 cm, including the I 12 GW binding.
The Redster Q9 Revoshock S applies the same Revoshock S, Power Woodcore, Titanal and Carbon Boost formula to a quicker 75 mm waist. This makes it the more piste-focused choice for skiers who prioritize rapid edge changes and precise carving on firm snow.
For intermediate-to-advanced skiers, the Redster Q7.8 Revoshock C offers a more forgiving interpretation. It retains an 85 mm waist, Power Woodcore, TI Powered laminate and Multi Radius Sidecut, but combines Revoshock C with durable Dura Cap Sidewalls.
The women-focused Cloud Q14 Revoshock S uses a 75 mm waist, lightweight Light Woodcore, Titanal reinforcement and Dura Cap Sidewalls. Active Camber maximizes effective edge contact for grip on icy slopes, while Multi Radius Sidecut broadens its turn repertoire.
For destination skiers spending an entire day on groomed terrain, the concept is compelling: Redster Q and Cloud Q are engineered not merely for the first perfect run, but for the increasingly variable pistes that follow.

Atomic Nexus 120 BOA
Ski boots rarely make their strongest impression before reaching the snow. The Atomic Nexus BOA may be an exception. Its defining proposition is straightforward: provide the support expected from a performance-oriented alpine boot while making entry and removal considerably easier, particularly welcome when low temperatures make conventional overlap shells less cooperative.
Designed for progressive on-piste and all-mountain skiers, the Nexus centers on Atomic’s new NexStep Construction. Rather than abandoning the power-transmitting overlap structure at the front, it combines it with an easy-entry rear cuff. Raising the Quick Flip Lever releases the cuff; closing it secures the boot around the leg. A Set-and-Forget buckle lets you adjust cuff volume initially without reopening and resetting the buckle whenever you remove the boot.
Integrated dual pivots work with the construction to support efficient power transmission while preserving the movement necessary to enter and exit the boot. The result is intended to eliminate a familiar compromise: choosing between an accessible boot and one capable of supporting assertive skiing.
That distinction matters during winter travel. Putting on rigid boots in a frozen parking area, removing them after a full ski day, or managing equipment inside a compact hotel boot room can add needless friction to a destination experience. The Nexus is engineered to make those transitions easier without moving into the softer recreational category.
Its 120 flex targets advanced skiers seeking substantial support on groomed slopes and beyond. The anatomical last measures 3.98 inches (101 mm), combining medium width with high internal volume. It is therefore particularly relevant for wider feet or skiers who find lower-volume performance shells restrictive. Proper professional fitting remains essential; easy entry does not make any boot universally suitable.
Around the lower foot, the BOA H+i1 Single Pull system provides bi-directional micro-adjustment and also wraps the shell more evenly around the foot. Inside, Atomic’s heat-moldable Mimic Gold liner combines cushioning with foot retention, further supported by Ankle Lock reinforcement and an asymmetrical 3D Stretch Toe Box. Memory Fit allows a trained bootfitter to reshape both the polyurethane shell and cuff, while a removable Adaptive Fit System cuff spoiler accommodates different calf volumes.
Each boot weighs approximately 4.40 pounds (1,996 g) in size 26/26.5, with a 15-degree forward lean and a four-degree ramp angle. AMT GripWalk soles feature deep tread and a wider toe profile for improved traction between the hotel, transport, and lifts. They comply with ISO 23223, making compatible bindings essential.
