Setting Sail: The Columbus Custom 50m M/Y Anjelif

Columbus Yachts, the renowned Palumbo Superyachts brand, has unveiled its latest maritime marvel - M/Y Anjelif, a 50-meter entire custom luxury yacht. Crafted from aluminum, the Anjelif stands as a symbol of the shipbuilder's dedication to innovative yacht design, environmental sustainability, and attention to detail.

The innovative M/Y Anjelif, christened by her experienced owner, is a model of advanced marine engineering. At the heart of this luxury behemoth is a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system, a nod to the brand's commitment to integrating sustainable technologies into its bespoke designs.

Breaking the waves in yacht sanitation, the Anjelif uses two cutting-edge technologies. Cold plasma application ensures the incoming airstream is free of airborne viruses and bacteria, making each breath of sea breeze as refreshing as it is safe. Additionally, the vessel has a system that sanitizes each room at preset intervals, ensuring a clean and healthy environment for guests and crew alike. Safety onboard has never been more paramount nor so seamlessly integrated.

The exteriors and interiors, masterfully crafted by Marco Casali of Too-Design, are a sight to behold. The focus on using natural and ecological materials creates an atmosphere of serene luxury. From the fully-equipped gymnasium and rejuvenating sauna to the relaxing massage room on the main deck, wellness, and comfort are at the forefront of Anjelif's design.

The visual spectacle doesn't end with the yacht's interior. An exquisitely finished, teak-exposed swimming pool in the transom is a testament to the grandeur of the Anjelif. The upper deck houses a second Jacuzzi for those who prefer a more secluded experience. The bow features a sunbathing area and a touch-and-go helicopter docking platform which can transform into an open-air cinema, adding a touch of excitement and romance to the high seas.

The four-deck layout is designed with precision and finesse. The master cabin is on the main forward deck, with four double cabins below the deck, ensuring privacy and a serene atmosphere for all guests. The eleven-member crew, accommodated in seven places, is ready to provide an unparalleled service experience.

With a 499 GT gross tonnage, the Anjelif is powered by 2 x MTU 16V 2000 M96L diesel engines, each delivering 1939 kW. The electric propulsion system is equipped with 2 x 175 kW Kohler generators. The diesel-electric hybrid approach enables the usage of two electric motors with a power of 100 kW each, providing a speed of around 9 knots. The Columbus Custom 50m can achieve a maximum speed of 20 knots with a range of 3000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

The state-of-the-art hybrid system, a product of Palumbo Superyachts' vast experience, allows for navigation with the generators off. Electric motors can be used as shaft generators when coupled with propulsion motors. The latest generation lithium battery pack serves as an electricity backup, eliminating any possibility of transition blackouts.

The Columbus Custom 50m M/Y Anjelif, poised to redefine luxury and sustainability in the yachting world, will debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023.
