Imagining a concept that raises the bar of performance sailing and pushes yachting frontiers can’t possibly be captured in an 80-foot Maxi. Or can it?

Worldwide renowned international boatyard, Nautor Swan, is well recognized for its expertise in building high-performance yachts that blend state-of-the-art naval architecture with the latest high-tech features. ClubSwan 80 is an advanced one-design maxi yacht constructed at Persico’s site in Nembro, Italy.

Answering a specific design brief, the yacht embraces a versatile dual-sailing concept that allows owners to enjoy all the fun and exhilaration of competitive racing, or simply enjoy spending time abroad and cruising at sea.

The ClubSwan Range has already presented a line-up of impressive sailing yachts, including ClubSwan 50 and ClubSwan 125 Skorpios, a super maxi yacht. The silhouette of ClubSwan 80 is the next evolutionary step in the brand’s development, and the sleek performance racer incorporates features like a retractable bowsprit and a hull and keel construction which supports tactical flexibility and exacting control.

The development of the new Maxi yacht has been a collaborative undertaking using an amalgamated team of nautical specialists and naval architects from Nautor Swan to design an innovative and invigorating high-performance vessel that possesses cutting-edge capabilities in speed and maneuverability. The recent introduction of the new ClubSwan vessel heralds a new and exciting dawn in competitive sailing.

“We’d like to introduce a new concept to the world of Maxis and invigorate owner participation on an international level. That’s the reason why we have created a new ClubSwan 80 and put together the most brilliant minds in the yachting industry, working with the aim to evolve the accepted principles in the sailing world.” - Enrico Chieffi, Senior Advisor at Nautor Group.

ClubSwan 80 yachts are built identically, with each one exemplifying Swan’s qualities of elegance, innovation, and reliability while allowing sailors at the helm to use their skills and experience when racing competitively. Actively anticipating and responding to customer demand, the Swan DNA is apparent in the Maxi yacht’s design, and their latest vessel is a milestone development in the Nautor Swan range.

Embodying the values of innovation and style combined with competitive sailing, Nautor Swan has long been applauded for its ability to offer a diverse range of yachts to its customers, and ClubSwan 80 is the latest iteration of stunning maxi vessels. As a one-design yacht that leans toward maximum comfort, its performance capabilities are nothing short of impressive, with its shape and tacking ability allowing easy management of common situations encountered in fleet racing.

With a construction specifically designed for the traditional maxi circuit, inshore racing, and medium offshore events, the 4.75m canting keel permits easy access and navigation in all ports while retaining all the performance capabilities of a deep keel.

ClubSwan 80 made a dynamic and dramatic impact on her recent debut at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in Sardinia, achieving a podium finish on her first competitive outing. The sense of anticipation was tangible, and in a performance that was nothing short of electrifying, ClubSwan 80 blew the competition, quite literally, out of the water. Even when faced with some of the world’s most dominant yacht sailing vessels, ClubSwan 80 Maxi Yacht My Song demonstrated her exceptional abilities.

“She proved to be a racing machine also in IRC/ORC races,” says Giovanni Pomati. “As My Song planned past bigger boats, the sailing world sat up and took notice”.
