CRN 62m Superyacht RIO

Ahhhh, RIO. Lush. Vibrant. Exotic. Whether speaking of the magnificent city in Brazil or CRN’s masterful 62-meter Superyacht of the same name, the description aptly suits. Bright, colorful spaces reflecting an upbeat, tropical mood with an exotic atmosphere appropriate for entertaining family and friends, the narrative is worthy of both yacht and city. That would be about where they part ways, as the yacht goes strictly upscale, in design, materials, craftsmanship, technology, and privacy, to deliver an exquisite experience on the water.

A true custom yacht, RIO offers an astonishing open-air lifestyle that deftly moves from indoors to out, all but erasing her physical boundaries. Taut contemporary lines drawn by Omega Architects combine with furnishings, fabrics, and finishes by Pulina Exclusive Interiors to present a CRN-engineered yacht that welcomes guests with the invitation to breathe deep and exhale fully, embracing every moment on board.

TWW Yachts of Monaco served as the owner’s representative, while the TWW Yacht Management arm provided technical consulting focused on survey and project management oversight.

By the Numbers

RIO was launched from CRN’s Ancona yard in January of 2022. After strong sea trial results in the Adriatic, RIO was delivered to the owner in May, followed by a festive September debut at the Monaco Yacht Show.

A full displacement yacht with bulbous bow, steel hull, and aluminum superstructure, RIO stretches 62 meters with a beam of 11.2 meters, weighing in at 1,218 GT. The yacht boasts teak decking on four decks with six cabins and an owner’s suite, in total accommodating 12 guests for charter and 14 in private service. The deck plan provides accommodation for up to 15 crew.
RIO’s sporty design boasts a near vertical bow, increasing the waterline. An impressive sweep of glazing wraps the main, upper, and sun decks. There are two full-beam VIP cabins, two double suites, one twin suite, all with lift service to all decks. There are nine crew cabins.

Powered by two CAT 3512C ACERT 1230kW@1800 rpm engines, RIO is capable of a 4500Nm range at 12 knots, finding maximum speed at 15 knots. Equipped with two CAT200 ekW 400V-50Hz generators, two zero-speed fin stabilizers, makes 19,200L of fresh water per day while carrying a 30,000L reserve, extended time at sea is a given. In a nod to environmental responsibility with regard to air quality, IMO Tier III-certification confirms a 70% emissions reduction of NOx, nitrogen oxides, from the engine exhaust.

RIO carries a stylish eight-meter open tender and a 4.2-meter rescue tender stored in garages located below the bow. Water toys, equipment, and everything needed for a fabulous voyage are also stored onboard.
