Bugatti La Voiture Noire

Bugatti’s new La Voiture Noire is more than a hypercar!

For a luxury car, the La Voiture Noire from Bugatti is in a class of its own, and the US$12 million vehicle has already been sold.

The impressive creation, based on the excellent Bugatti Chiron, is now the world’s most expensive new vehicle - costing more than the $9m Rolls-Royce Sweptail.

If that wasn’t impressive enough, La Voiture Noire, which means The Black Car, has already been sold to an unnamed buyer with Bugatti saying he is a ‘motoring enthusiast.’ This new car is not a production model, but a one-off special project and the designers have given it a unique stealth fighter look to help turn admiring heads.

So, what does a motoring enthusiast with a love of luxury hypercars and with a spare $12 million get for their money? The answer is an incredible motoring creation and the automobile world’s equivalent of Paris haute couture.

The car undoubtedly offers a nice hybrid between the comfort levels expected from the luxury limousine while enjoying the power and speed from a sports car.

This is a Bugatti that produces 1,479 bhp (or 1,103 kW) and torque of 1,180 lb-ft (or 1,600 Nm) from the 8.0-litre four-turbocharged engine with 16 cylinders.

La Voiture Noire’s performance figures

While Bugatti has not released any information about La Voiture Noire’s performance figures, the new owner should be expecting their car to reach from 0 to 62 mph in 2.4 seconds and then go onto a top speed of 261 mph or 420 km/h, which are similar figures to the Chiron.

The impressive luxury vehicle was unveiled at the Geneva motor show and caused a stir in the motoring world. And why wouldn’t it?

Here at NAVIS we have encountered most of the luxurious automobile creations, and the stylish and sleek lines of the La Voiture Noire impress; the entire design spells luxury and high performance.

The Bugatti brand has been in existence for 110 years and in that time has consistently delivered a range of excellent and luxurious automobiles.

From the shiny black carbon fiber surface to the huge wheels - and equally huge brakes - the entire bodywork spells desirability. Unfortunately, the world’s most expensive car does not have an interior yet but it’s likely to be better than the Chiron - and that already impresses.

Essentially, the new car is a modern take on the impressive Type 57SC Atlantic which was designed by the legendary Jean Bugatti. The Atlantic is still one of the most sought-after cars in the world and also one of its most valuable.

Since only four were ever built between 1936 and 1938, they are worth more than $40 million, or they were when the last one was sold around nine years ago and that was the selling price.
