Heesen Irisha Launched

After an extensive series of trials in and around the North Sea, Heesen’s Irisha was successfully delivered to her owners. The 51 meter masterpiece is a motor yacht that has an impressive interior and exterior design tailored to the specific requests of the owners.

The design team sought to create a yacht that was stylish, functional, yet entirely unique. Both the interior and exterior were designed by Harrison Eidsgaard, who has consistently established himself as one of the most respected names in the industry. The team paid ample attention to the details all throughout the ship in an effort to assure that neither form nor function would be anything less than perfect.

The team began by using the framework that has made Heesen respected by yachting enthusiasts all around the world. Using a full-aluminum, semi-displacement motor yacht makes it possible for the yacht to accelerate and maintain speed surprisingly well for a ship of her size. In fact, during the trials, Irisha was able to achieve top speeds of 26.1 knots. With a range of over 3,000 nautical miles, it seems she will clearly be able to operate without limits.

The team was proud to announce that the trials went even better than originally anticipated. They were also quite proud of the aesthetic appeal that was established throughout. Irisha tastefully blends multiple different shades of blue, white, and dark olive-green in order to create a look that is truly ready for the open seas.

Other aesthetic elements include things such as the ample use of glass—which Heesen claims gives the ship a “fighter jet” type look—the use of LED lighting strips, and an overall layout that projects a sense of power to anyone lucky enough to witness her glory. It seems there are few things more natural than getting to watch a ship such as this one in her natural environment.

There was also a significant amount of effort exerted in the interior design process. The owners wanted to have a yacht that could not only be used for cruising at high speeds, but could also be used for family life and entertaining guests. The interior consists of mostly bright colors and an intelligent use of light. Once you are inside, you will immediately feel a strong commitment to luxury that is never overbearing.

As you wander throughout the ship, you will discover numerous guest rooms, a beautiful dining room, an incredibly grandiose staircase, and sliding glass doors. The yacht projects an aura of European sophistication that many designers spend their entire life struggling to effectively establish. The generous use of glass and light allow her to maintain a continuous connection to the world beyond her.

Other notable features include a 13-meter long sun deck, a shaded bar area, and a hot tub for guests to enjoy. Between the incredibly successful trials and the inclusion of numerous luxury features, the owners certainly have a lot to look forward to in the future. Irisha plans to soon begin journeying around the Mediterranean and will also make a notable appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show this September.
