Feadship Launches 92-Meter Superyacht Aquarius

On the 3rd of September, Feadship launched its new 92-meter yacht, Aquarius, during a private ceremony at the company’s shipyard in Aalsmeer, Netherlands. Aquarius brings together some of Feadship’s most advanced technologies to create a superyacht that travels the world in style.

Feadship created Aquarius with assistance from Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design. The result is a massive yacht that remains nimble in the water.

The design team made the unique decision to install an LED lighting system throughout Aquarius. The owner, who is known as an avid art collector, plans to Aquarius’s large, well-lit interior spaces to display select pieces from his private collection.

The size of Aquarius means that the owner can have up to 12 guests staying in six staterooms. Of course, the owner has his own stateroom located on the owner’s deck. This special area contains a media room, massage room, private balcony, and two bathrooms. Accommodations are available for 31 crew members.

Feadship developed Aquarius to travel long distances without needing to stop. She can carry 220,000 liters (58,118 gallons) of fuel and 50,000 liters (13,209 gallons) of fresh water. Two MTU 16V4000M63L main engines give Aquarius the ability to reach 17 knots. At cruising speed (12 knots) she can cover 5,500 nautical miles. That means she would have plenty of fuel remaining even after a trip from Rio de Janeiro to London.

Aquarius’s owner is an experienced yachtsman, but this ship must stand out as a gem in his collection. Few yachts can compete with it.
