Feadship launched ROCK.IT, an impressive 60.35 meters motoryacht, costume-built, that challenged all laws of superyachting construction but it still was possible. This is the first superyacht that features the application of an intuitive control and maneuvering system developed for naval applications. ROCK.IT was absolutely born to rock: she combines a sporty, bold, exterior design, with a classic but still modern interior design.
The designers from Sinot Yacht Design and the naval architects from Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects were to rise up to the challenge; but they were able to own it and pass it with flying colors. As exterior designer Sander Sinot explained "ROCK.IT is very sleek and bold without being pretentious", and furthermore: "A natural flow of lines and surfaces make the yacht breathe speed and exude elegance".
The interior design doesn't get left behind neither characterized by a "classic modern" style. Thanks to the full-beam throughout, ROCK.IT is provided of expansive and commodious spaces. Moreover, the combination of fabrics and materials used in its decoration blend to create an elegant atmosphere but still maintaining the purpose of being a family superyacht.
But what really set the tone apart for this unique vessel is its state-of-the-art technology and the innovation this implies. ROCK.IT has been installed with a unique control system that includes a semi-DP autopilot system, which will allow this superyacht to keep her heading at anchor, hovering on the main engine and thrusters. Besides, its three-axis steering joystick with a rotational factor facilitates even more the maneuverability. This system is so prestige that comes from a proven military background, and ROCK.IT is the first Feadship bespoke to make use of it.
Feadship has really pushed the boundaries with this cutting edge technology and its characteristic clean-cut design. We can only assume that the owner of this imposing vessel will be nothing but thrilled when navigating the waters.
