The latest of the Benetti's models, the M/Y Illusion I, will be at display in the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show for you to envision the latest in yacht design. This 58 meter extravaganza was built at the Benetti Livorno shipyard and designed, internally and externally, in collaboration with Green & Mingarelli for a European Owner.
The M/Y Illusion I embodies to perfection everything a true Benetti is, justifying Benetti's leadership in the over 40 meter displacement hull market. Space, comfort, sophistication and technology are all combined in this majestic piece of art, leaving nothing to chance.
She consists of four decks plus a sun deck. Entertainment and comfort, together with classy décor, are the main concepts followed. She was originally designed for commercial charter use, but the Owner will be able to use her privately as well thanks to its accommodation distribution; she offers room for 12 + 1 passengers. Its layout includes one VIP and four guest cabins plus the master state room; all of them in suite! In addition, the crew quarters, with four single crew cabins and a double for the chief engineer, though in the same deck are completely separated guaranteeing maximum privacy for all guests and a higher efficiency in service.
All spaces shine thanks to the vivid luminosity that penetrates each space giving this extensive vessel an agreeable and suiting atmosphere. The style of furnishings and decoration, especially in the main deck, has a dominant theme in pink with a particular combination of different and unusual materials, such as ray-skin, coco or slivers of mother of pearl, but that still combine perfectly giving it a sophisticated look and maintaining Benetti's style reputation.
Performance wise, the Illusion I slides peacefully through the sea reaching a 15 knot fast cruising speed and a 12 knot normal one; and has a 5.000 nautical mile range. Propulsion is provided by twin CAT 3512C motors, and its generators are twin CAT C9 Gensets for 200 kw each plus a third CAT C4.4 generator. In the engineering and technical department you'll see nothing is missing, counting with cutting edge technology which facilitates the control of such imposing vessel
