A very special project - and the result of the work of one of the best-known German engineering companies for naval architecture and yacht design in collaboration with CNB, the leading French shipyard for super yachts, the CNB 39.5 is unique in the super yacht industry: It is one of the first fly bridge motor yachts in the 40 meter range, equipped with conventional engines, that reaches a speed of over 38 km. This performance is normally the privilege of yachts with surface-drives, gas turbines and/or jets.
The CNB 39.5 was designed thanks to the extensive experience of Beiderbeck Designs combined with the almost unique market position of CNB, based in Bordeaux, France. In the past 25 years, CNB gained an almost unique know-how combination of aluminium and composite construction in the complex and weight sensitive construction of sailing super yachts. In addition, the shipyard also has extensive experience in building passenger ferries, patrol boats for the coast guard, police boats, etc. Thus, CNB fully masters the building of weight sensitive boats for high performance and special operating ranges. This know-how of lightweight construction enables CNB to build a very light motor yacht offering high top speeds. The CNB 39.5 also provides a high level of efficiency and autonomy, being able to cruise along at a speed of 20 kn for 1000 nm, or even twice as far when slowing down to 12 km.
