Saturday the 28th marked the end of an exclusive yachting event: the Monaco Yacht Show 2013. For four days, from the 25th to the 28th of September 2013, Monaco swarmed with yacht enthusiasts, yacht owners, shipyard representatives and journalists. At NAVIS Luxury Yacht Magazine, we had the pleasure of not only receiving exciting yachting news but also of visiting impressive superyachts from the most select shipyards in the world.
On Friday, we visited the 58m CRM J'ade, an engineering marvel. Upon arriving at the marine, we were impressed by the sight before us: impressive size, sleek lines and a grey and white hull which caught everyone's eye. Despite the blatant spaciousness of the vessel, its careful design and it beautiful interiors make it specially warm and inviting. What really stands out from this vessel is its flooding garage, which allows the owner to store a tender comfortable. When the tender is outside, the garage becomes a pool for guests to enjoy as a beach club.
Other marvels the Monaco Yacht Show offered were the 88m Lürssen Quattroelle, the 40m Mondo Marine Nameless and the 80m CRN's Chopi Chopi. These three magnificent superyachts were the stars of the yachting event.
On Saturday, the closing date of the Monaco Yacht Show, we attended a D-Stress Party at the Monaco Yacht Club. It was a casual event featuring a barbecue with an open bar with special performances and a beach volleyball competition.
Green technology and green superyachts are more important than ever. On that regard, and since 2009, RINA has been offering the Green Plus Award. This year the award was given out by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco to superyacht Benetti FB263 m/y Ocean Paradise because of their advances in the field of environment protection.
