The Ferretti Group iconic brand, Riva, launches the 122' Mythos, it's latest flagship. Riva 122' Mythos is the largest aluminum planning luxury yacht produced by the shipyard and it transfers perfectly the flair and the clean, elegant lines of all Riva models belonging to a new line made entirely in light aluminum alloy.
The design of this impressive vessel belongs to Mauro Micheli of Officina Italiana Design, the same team that is in charge of designing all the models of the Riva range, collaborating closely with Advanced Yacht Technology (AYT), the research and naval design center of the Feretti Group, and a skilful team of designers and architects, Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. The experienced CRN shipyard in Ancona will produce the Riva 122' Mythos; they specialize in the construction of super yachts up to 90m.
CRN and Riva are both brands of the Ferretti Group and have a historic partnership which traditionally constructs Riva mega yachts. This strong constructing tradition has more than 40 years of history, dating back to 1970 when Carlo Riva put an end to his contract with a Dutch shipyard he'd been working with up until then. This was a very successful shift that led to the launch of five 23.5m Marco Polo motor yachts and two 27m and 30m Vespucci yachts by the Carlo Riva Yacht Division between 1970 and 1978.

In turn, Andrea Frabetti, Product Development Director of Ferretti Group, affirms: "Riva 122' Mythos is the first model of Riva's mega yachts completely made in light aluminium alloy. This model, in particular, features a shaft line propulsion system with propellers designed for the utmost efficiency. The active stabilization system completes this project, entirely focused on the utmost comfort".
Mauro Micheli, founder of Officina Italiana Design together with Sergio Beretta, sheds light on his idea for this new Riva masterpiece: "Explaining a craft and its project is always more difficult than designing it. The idea and the line of the new 122' took 10 minutes, but the difference stands in the time dedicated to the definition of details, those making this model unique. 122' Mythos represents the 'large scale continuation' of the Domino, a model which got through the crisis in the most complicated period. I am never completely satisfied with my job, but in the case of 122' Mythos I repeat what I said for the Domino: this craft comes from instincts, this is why it will be awarded. The careful but not aggressive design will make this yacht a milestone of the nautical sector, just like Aquariva, Rivarama, Rivale, which are still being produced after so many years post-launch. The synergy we found with the Ferretti Group makes us stronger in our work. Together, instinct comes to light, embodied by a new model. This is a new chapter of Riva's history".
The Riva 122' Mythos is over 37m long and 7.6m wide. The planning aluminum hull reaches a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots, due to its two MTU 12 V 4000 M 93L engines.
Guests aboard the Mythos can enjoy the time spent cruising in the elegant and spacious exteriors of the vessel. The main deck cockpit features a comfortable sun pad with enough space for a table for up to ten people. The dinette and the salon have large windows connected to the helm station that offer a marvelous panoramic view. The wide galley is located at the front of the deck, after the helm station and can also be accessed from the crew area of the lower deck.
