The Dutch shipbuilding powerhouse Damen Yachting has officially announced the delivery of the latest hull in its acclaimed Amels 60 Limited Editions series. Named ALVA, the 60-meter (197-foot) superyacht departed the Vlissingen City yard in the Netherlands on March 6, 2026, following a traditional naming ceremony marked by a celebratory display of flags.
ALVA represents a significant milestone for the Amels Limited Editions concept, proving the platform's enduring appeal to owners who prioritize a blend of proven naval architecture and rapid delivery without sacrificing the ability to personalize. Sold in the latter half of 2025, the yacht underwent a swift but intensive period of customization to align with the new Owner’s specific vision.
A Collaborative Vision of Modern Luxury
The Amels 60 platform is renowned for its pedigree, but ALVA stands out through its distinct design collaborations. The exterior, penned by the legendary Espen Øino, retains the series' signature look: timeless lines characterized by striking trapezoid windows that allow for expansive views and a sleek profile.
Complementing the bold exterior is a bespoke interior by the award-winning studio Harrison Eidsgaard. The design team focused on creating a calm, contemporary yet homely atmosphere, emphasizing a natural connection to the marine environment. This is achieved through the use of abundant natural light and a layout that encourages fluid indoor-outdoor living.

At 853 Gross Tonnage (GT), ALVA offers substantial volume for a 60-meter vessel. The yacht is engineered to accommodate 12 guests across six luxurious suites, supported by a professional crew of 12 plus the Captain.

While the Owner joined the build process only a few months prior to delivery, ALVA underwent several bespoke modifications. These requests were specifically aimed at increasing the vessel's appeal on the global charter market.
The transition from shipyard to active service is immediate. ALVA is currently en route to the Mediterranean, where she will be available for charter through Christie Yachts. Her inaugural season includes a high-profile itinerary through France, Italy, the Balearic Islands, and Greece. Following her summer debut, she is scheduled to cross the Atlantic for the 2026/2027 Caribbean winter season.
