Renowned Dutch shipyard Feadship has announced the successful delivery of its latest custom superyacht, the 71.76-metre Stella M. Delivered to her owner on August 5, 2025, the vessel, formerly known as Project 827, represents a significant addition to the global fleet, blending state-of-the-art engineering with a sophisticated design philosophy.
Stella M joins the water as a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship and forward-thinking approach that define the Feadship brand. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, her elegant and contemporary exterior lines were penned by the acclaimed Studio De Voogt, creating a powerful yet graceful profile across her five decks. The yacht is now poised to begin her inaugural season in the Mediterranean, where her distinctive presence will be seen for the first time.

A New Standard in Propulsion and Performance
At the heart of Stella M's design is a next-generation diesel-electric propulsion system, a technology that underscores Feadship’s commitment to sustainable innovation. This advanced architecture is engineered for significantly quieter and cleaner operation compared to traditional diesel power plants, enhancing both onboard comfort and environmental performance.
Diesel-electric systems allow a yacht to run on generator power at various loads, optimizing fuel consumption and reducing engine hours. This flexibility translates into remarkably low noise and vibration levels, a key benefit that was confirmed during the yacht’s rigorous sea trials. For guests aboard Stella M, this means a serene cruising experience, whether at anchor or underway. This delivery builds on Feadship’s extensive experience in developing hybrid and electrically-powered superyachts, a domain where the shipyard continues to set industry benchmarks.
Design Focused on Multi-Generational Living
The design brief for Stella M was centered on creating a yacht tailored for multi-generational use. This concept drove the entire layout, resulting in five decks of open, light-filled interior spaces that offer both privacy and communal gathering areas. The interior, crafted by FM Architettura, was designed to be both luxurious and highly functional, accommodating the diverse needs of a family group.
While specific details of the interior remain private, the overall architectural approach emphasizes volume and light. Large windows and open-plan areas are expected to define the onboard atmosphere, seamlessly connecting guests with the surrounding marine environment. The naval architecture for the project was managed by Azure Naval Architects, ensuring a stable and efficient platform for the intricate design.
The Collaborative Spirit Behind Project 827
The successful completion of Stella M was the result of a close and effective collaboration between the owner, the shipyard, and a team of leading industry experts. The project was managed by the brokerage firm Burgess, which represented the owner from the initial inquiry through to the final delivery. Hugo-Morgan Harris served as the owner’s technical representative, ensuring the build met the project’s exacting standards.
Maarten Janssen, Sales Director at Feadship, commented on the seamless teamwork. "The successful delivery of Stella M reflects seamless collaboration between the owner, the yard, design teams, technical experts, and broker," he stated. "The owner brought a clear vision and personal touch to the project, contributing thoughtfully throughout. Stella M is a refined and distinctive yacht, ready to begin her first Mediterranean season".
This sentiment was echoed by Richard Lambert, Senior Partner at Burgess. "We were pleased to support the owner on his build journey from initial enquiry to delivery and be a part of such an exceptional project," Lambert said. "Her Dutch pedigree coupled with complete collaboration between all parties resulted in a vessel that meets the owner's forward-thinking vision".
