Superyachts Exhaust After-treatment System

Balancing the strictly enforced emissions regulations while meeting client demands to construct luxury sailing vessels poses an engineering challenge for even the most exacting superyacht builders. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has placed strict limits on Nitrous Oxide Emissions (NOx), and laws have been in effect since 2016 to enforce restrictions on vessels that operate within Nitrous Emissions Control Areas (NECAs). Many superyacht builders within the industry have struggled to come up with an elegant solution to the IMO Tier III’s emissions requirements and have been forced to rely on systems like SCR - Selective Catalytic Reduction.

The Sanlorenzo 62m yacht is the perfect vessel

Along with a warm, subtropical climate, growing lemon trees along the Amalfi Coast and on the island of Sicily requires attentive nurturing. The aroma from the tree’s blossoms fills the air with a light, fresh fragrance, slowly turning to fruit that grows, ripens, and sweetens.

Yachts, as with lemon trees, also require attentive nurturing, particularly when the concept is still a seed, ready to germinate, grow, and blossom. Many a prospective yacht owner brings the pip of an idea to a yacht builder, providing rich enthusiasm for the envisioned yacht; a dream seeking fulfillment. That’s where Sanlorenzo comes in, transforming the essence of the dreams, cultivating them into the steel, teak, silk, and leather realities of the completed, Sanlorenzo motor yacht Lemon Tree.

Superyacht Cup Palma is the leading regatta for luxury yachts

With the final day challenge of Superyacht Cup Palma 2022, decided on countback, the tension could not have been greater. Anticipation was high as race results were announced, and final outcomes saw Class B Ganesha and Class J Svea finishing with matching score lines and level points. However, the Lord of Fortune, Ganesha, smiled upon the aptly named yacht, and the 46m sloop was crowned the overlall winner, with Svea coming a close second.

Ganesha’s skipper, Alex Pamment, noted that it was an extremely close run race and attributed their final victory to the crew’s expert tactical calls to navigate the weather, adding: “It was a bit of a surprise win, and we certainly weren’t expecting it.”

LOCMAN Montecristo Open Heart Watch Review

Revered among collectors, prestigious jewellers, and watch enthusiasts, Locman’s meticulous design capabilities combine human activity with the natural world in a harmonious balance that promotes their ethical manifesto. From their center of operations on the island of Elba, the luxury watch company create stunning and innovative timepieces fashioned from materials and gemstones not commonly used in luxury watch design. Locman featured the first watch in the world to use a carbon fiber case.

After the brand was established in 1986, renowned watch factory Genesi became Locman’s production partner during the 1980s. This enabled the company to offer high-quality Italian-produced watches at prices well below those presented by their Swiss competitors. Largely due to the partnership with Genesi and its technical expertise, the Locman company started designing and producing watches under its own label. Their premier design featured wood from their home island of Elba; briar root, and incorporated gold elements into an entirely hand-crafted piece.
