Curved, racy lines harmoniously design the profile of this yacht which encloses all the elegance of Riva style in her 28 metres, as always in a solution featuring its unique, original design created by Officina Italiana Design, the exclusive designer of all the yachts in the Riva range, AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology - Ferretti Group's naval research and design centre, and the team of architects and designers of Centro Stile Ferrettigroup.

The large windscreen integrates perfectly in the soaring, aggressive line of the 92' Duchessa, providing an excellent view from the pilot station, whilst the large windows of the upper deck guarantee as much light as possible filters through to the salon and luncheon area. The chromatic balance between the warm shades of the black American walnut embellished with hand-sewn, white and chocolate leather inserts used for the furniture and bulkheads, and the white varnished wood of the flooring, that can be replaced with white stone in marble powder in the dining area, makes this environment both welcoming and comfortable.

The slightly raised pilot station is equipped with latest generation instruments, and features a comfortable dinette for the crew with direct access to the flybridge and galley, the latter of which is completely accessorised and set lower down, on an intermediary level. A utility room has been created under the helm station, where additional household appliances can be fitted. Alternatively, it can be used as a storage area. In the foredeck area, the galley provides access to the three crew cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms. They can accommodate a total of five, i.e. a captain and four crew members. This completely separate area for on-board staff guarantees total privacy for Owners and their guests. Moreover, the low set galley and crew areas have made it possible to optimise the space available in the lower bridge, too, to create four large cabins amidships.

The large master cabin is located astern, but separated from the engine room by a utility room accessed from the cockpit and the large, full beam head located behind the bed. Fitted with shower and bathtub, said head guarantees the night area total comfort and quietness. The Owner cabin features a walk-in wardrobe and vanity unit and is well-lit by two large, new windows fitted on either side. Portholes at each end make it possible to air the environment naturally. Under one of the window there is a dormeuse for relaxation, that offers a panoramic view.

The great innovation is the private entrance to the Owner cabin from the main deck; the other stairway which has been fitted here leads to the centre of the yacht to two guest cabins. The one located starboard is double, whilst portside there is a twin room. The full-beam VIP cabin is located towards forward and has benefited from an extension of the day areas. All the cabins feature en-suite bathrooms, whilst the day head is on the main deck.

The cockpit features a large teak table which can seat up to eight, thanks to a comfortable sofa and four foldable chairs, which can be stored in the base of the table. An elegant stairway to the right provides easy access to the flybridge. A second, smaller living-room has been created on the foredeck, where a teak table with a six-seater sofa and the sundeck are located. The sundeck can be shaded by an awning with easy manual opening.

The flybridge is surmounted by a fibreglass hard top, whose sharp line inclined towards the bow gives continuity to the yacht's general profile, making her more aerodynamic and elegant. Moreover, the special advanced shape of the hard top makes it possible to use the layout of the flybridge better, providing shade from the sun's rays sun in the pilot station and small living-area,. The latter consists of two sofas and a teak table able to seat up to eight. A centrally-fitted whirlpool, which can be replaced with a smart mobile bar in the optional version separates it from the sundeck. Moreover, the size of the flybridge means it can be equipped with a tender measuring up to 4,20 m in length, handled using a small davit.

Another special feature of this model is the garage. Closed by a foldable door, it can house a tender measuring max. 3.20 m or a jet-ski. When lowered, a chaise-longue on runners can be placed inside the garage, creating another area for relaxation, suspended directly over the water.

92' Duchessa is fitted with two MTU engines 16V 2000 M92, power 2218 mhp, delivering a maximum speed of 28 knots and a cruise speed of 25 knots; the optional version is equipped with two MTU engines 16V 2000 M93 power 2435 mhp, giving a maximum speed of 30 knots and a cruise speed of 27 knots.

Two ARG 4000 stabilisers guarantee the stability of the yacht both when moored and at sea, whilst the exclusive advanced entertainment system enables those aboard to play the same videos and music in both the salon and master cabin.

Riva Yachts

Building on a legend

1842. Lake d’Iseo. A sudden storm wreaks what appears to be irreparable havoc: damaged boats, disheartened fishermen with no means with which to work. But a skilled young carpenter, newly arrived in the area from Laglio on Lake Como, accomplishes a miracle, managing to repair most of the boats, earning himself the esteem and admiration of the people of the town.

This is how the Riva story began - from a man who became the master of his own destiny. The skilled carpenter was Pietro Riva, who had just arrived in Sarnico. Pietro opened his shipyard here, where it all began. This is where the very first Riva creations were built, yachts like nobody had ever seen before. Riva quickly became a well-known, highly esteemed company and the shipyard’s work continued to prosper under the management of Ernesto Riva, who succeeded his father. Ernesto introduced technical innovations which raised the quality of what was still artisan production.

He was also the person whose intuition led him to fit internal-combustion engines on the yachts. This was the period during which Riva produced large boats for transporting people and goods over the lake.

After the Great War, Serafino Riva made his mark on how the company would continue to be organised, transforming the shipyard’s esteemed products into a true brand, one which would go down in history. Resolutely putting the tiller hard over, production veered away from transportation towards motorboating, still at its very beginnings at that time. Spanning the 20s and 30s, the Riva family broke a number of records, winning several victories with its speedboats too, in both national and international competitions.

The 50s were Carlo Riva’s years, and those of pleasure boating, of the brand which had become a synonym for elegance, status and perfection. Materials chosen only from the very best available, painstaking care taken over detail, decades worth of artisan experience. Riva creations are an object of desire for kings and queens from all countries, as well as actors and actresses, sports champions, businesspeople and celebrities of all kinds. Still today, these jewels hold the glamour of that time in the past, with its paparazzi, scarved, sunglassed divas, romantic escapades on the water, cover love affairs, timeless luxury and elegance. Because Riva is passion and creation. As it was yesterday, it will be forever.
